I love using buttons in my sewing projects. Just like there are so many different fabric prints to choose from, there are even more buttons to pick. There are some that are round, rectangular, mermaid tails or just plain. There are also some made of wood, plastic and gemstones. There are just so many.
When I started sewing almost 10 years ago, I inherited all of my late mother’s sewing supplies, including so many buttons! I’ve been so hesitant to use them, afraid of messing up or losing a piece of her. But I realized that when I do use them, I love seeing them because it reminds me of her and makes me happy. I’ll still be selective on which projects I include them on but will smile when I do see them being used.
