Day 24: Animal

This one is easy. I have a wonderful animal that loves me dearly and her name is Sadie. She’s a little munchkin that I love dearly. She’s always eager for her two walks in a day. Just looking at her makes me smile. I hope she does the same for you.

Day 6 :: Low Angle

For today’s shot, I had to wait for the hubby to come home to help me set up the shot with my Sadie. She’s such a patient little doll.

My Baby Sadie

She makes me smile and laugh all the time. She loves snuggling in our laps when she’s ready for a nap. There’s never a day that goes by that I’m not thankful for her in our lives. That’s my baby Sadie!

My Sadie

It’s been awhile since I’ve mentioned my Sadie and how much we adore her. Just recently, I finished reading 10 Secrets My Dog Taught Me: Life Lessons from a Man’s Best Friend. Never in a million years would I have thought to pick up a book about a dog, but the cover photo looked so much like Sadie to me that I was intrigued. It’s a short read about a man and his dog and how his dog taught him about the simple things in life. If you are a dog lover, then I highly recommend this book to you. His stories reminded me a lot of how we were with Sadie when we first brought her home. Just experiences you wouldn’t have unless you had a dog. SPOILER ALERT: If you do read this, have a tissue handy. I was crying like a baby at the end.

Here are a few pictures of my Sadie. I love her for all her adorableness and love that she offers me. My life would be completely different without her.

Bringing you up-to-date

I apologize for the delay in posting, but I’ve been super busy lately. My contract work for going into an office has ended. Though it was nice getting to know everyone, I really missed my at-home routine, playing with my dog Sadie and being in my pajamas. With that being said, I was able to finally convince the hubby to move my home office into one of our bigger spare rooms. I was simply running out of space. We moved everything out of the spare room and prepped it for painting. Three of the walls are a slate blue while the accent wall is a pale yellow. It has a wonderful inviting and soothing feel to the room. I purchased some new furniture and waiting to fill the other walls with some bookcases, then on to decoration. Pictures to come as soon as I finish the room.

As for my baby Sadie, it has been a year since we took our precious home. We can hardly believe it’s been a year. It feels like yesterday she fit in my arms and now she’s longer than my leg length. Though it was difficult at the beginning, it’s been so rewarding now. There’s not a day that goes by that we don’t tell her we love her. She’s such a doll. And that’s the sum of what’s been going on.

What a day!

Wrapping up a busy day. I didn’t have time to do any posts today, but I promise to get back to it tomorrow. My five seconds of venting starts now. My laptop was crashing with new RAM, so we had to put back the old RAM and it’s moving at a snails pace. I can’t have more than 3 apps open at once and there’s a delay when I type too fast or try to switch screens or apps. It’s ridiculously slow that I want to pull my hair out. And my poor Sadie, I know she’s bored out of her mind because she keeps coming to me to get some love. Shutting down now for some shut eye and relaxation. See you folks tomorrow! Good night.

UPDATE :: Sadie and her new BFF

We had the pleasure of dog sitting our neighbor’s dog, Rosie, this weekend. Sadie and Rosie hit it off and are now BFF’s! Sadie is a young pup and Rosie is 2 years old, so Rosie takes lots of breaks while young Sadie is still ready to go. Here’s a link to the photos and video, enjoy!
