I’ve always been self-conscience of my hands. They’ve always been bony and crooked, not the most elegant feminine hands but they do the job. Below are hands from my good friend Dan, breaking some What-a-burger fries. Thanks Dan!

Day 21: Faceless Self-Portrait
Saturday was a lazy, sleep all day, kind of day. I had a splitting headache that would not go away. But I did manage to snap some photos of myself before seeing my family for dinner.

Day 20: Bokeh
I love taking bokeh photos, it’s just so fun and creative. Makes you think outside the box. Below are some christmas lights strung about on a glass chess board with the pieces on it.

Day 19: Something orange
I’ve seen this bottle and many others like it for more than half my life. This bottle has followed me since I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of 16. After countless medications and treatments, I am still plagued with this little orange bottle. But, it’s not as bad as it was 16 years ago. I’m able to move around and do things “normal” people can do since I’m on the right treatment. I’ve never cursed my life but I am appreciative of the many blessings that I have in my life. I may never be at the front of the pack, but slow and steady always wins the race.

Day 18: Your Shoes
Here are my lovely, bright pink shoes. They are a bit too pink for my taste, but with feet that need comfort, these do the job. These are my everyday shoes. I wear them to walk Sadie twice a day, that’s almost 2 miles everyday. That is more than what I used to do and I thank her everyday for getting me up and moving. Without her incessant need to be walked, and she knows at what time everyday she’s due for one, I don’t think I’d be moving around as much as I am today. Thank you to my Sadie!

Day 16: Long Exposure
With help from the hubby and a glow stick, I was able to get a long exposure shot. Looks like glowing hands to me, what do you see?

Day 15: Silhouette
Taking a silhouette photo was a bit more difficult that I expected. If there’s not enough light, your silhouette looks like a huge blob.

Day 13: Yourself with 13 things
What a whirlwind of a weekend. On Friday, we attended a friend’s wedding. Then on Saturday, we headed downtown to stay at a hotel for Sunday’s Houston Marathon. On Sunday, my hubby and a few others in our family gathered at the start line to run the Chevron Houston Marathon. It definitely was not a lazy weekend.
For Friday’s challenge, it was me with 13 items. I wanted to follow a theme, which was all things kitchen.

Day 11: Something Blue
Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.
My something blue for today is my gas stove. I didn’t always enjoy cooking but after my mom started getting too ill to cook, I started to take an interest in making tasty dishes.
