I’m always looking for ways to making cleaning the restroom easier and not so toxic. I’ve used a Mr. Clean product in the past but found out that they are no longer offering the product. Then I switched to Scrubbing Bubbles pad cleaner, the problem with that was the pad did not stay on the Velcro and it did not clean very well. So, I started to read on forums and other blogs tips on how to remove soap scum without the hard work. I purchased from Costco, Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom cleaner because it claimed to clean by just spraying and wiping away the scum. With what I learned from the forums, I also used dryer sheets to wipe away the cleaner, just to see if that would help. The forums claim that using dryer sheets with baking soda will wipe away your soap scum, but that sounded like a lot of work on my muscles. Today I set a goal of getting all the restrooms in the house clean. Just cleaning the master bathroom usually takes me an hour. Today, cleaning all 3.5 baths, took a total of an hour. The combination of Scrubbing Bubbles foam cleaner and the dryer sheets did the trick. I was surprised and amazed. Not all of the scum is removed but it’s a work in progress and my muscles aren’t terribly sore from the cleaning. Give it a try, it may work for you.
